I don't think this is a pretentious post at all! I'd say go for the Master's, if only because it's Oxford. No matter what you actually learn there, I'm sure you'll learn a lot of valuable things and it will be a great experience, just because it's Oxford. If the money isn't too big an issue, I'd do it. There's nothing to lose from it and only a lot to gain.
