Songageness, yay!

Phewph, have finally written a new song after a month and a half break. It's tentatively titled 'Pen to Paper', but since that comes in the first line, I'm thinking that might change. Maybe I will call it something more... all encompassing. I don't know. I'm very crap at naming songs. Ho hum. I quite like it, though it does... bob along a little, I suppose. It needs more piano, I think, but I can't think of anything exciting to put in the piano part. I was rather pleased with the M8 though, has rather a cool chord progression. I knew all that bassline writing would come in handy somewhere!

I do think I need a new theme for my next song. I think my last 5 have all been based around the same one, showing an interesting chronological progression from 'no, I can't do anything about it' to 'well, maybe' to 'ooh excited' to 'shit what have I done' to 'nope, still can't do anything about it'. Perhaps I should put them on a CD of their own to remind me of my folly. I'm really trying to write happier songs though, because a large proportion of my stuff is so minorish and depressing that I really need something to balance them out in compilation. It says something when I find myself putting a song about the depths of depression in between 2 others to lighten the mood! Oh dear. Or that 'Lying Cold' is one of my happier songs... I really have issues!!!
