Not dead.... yet
Jun. 13th, 2006 11:58 pmWell. Exciting things have happened since I last had easy access to the net. Eugenia has buggered off back to the States (honestly... some people... why do they think they need money?!?.... totally unnecessary in my opinion ;)) and I have left the Dungeon for good. I'm briefly back in sunny (it really is) Basingrad before I go to France with Trev (hooray!) but most importantly of all, I have a flat for the summer, AND I have made good steps in having a house for next year. Now all I need to do is the admin...
However, the problem is, I still have stressing out to do about it all, for several reasons. Firstly, I have to (with Trev's help) send off the garantor forms for all four of us, because Matt and Sarah are already in France. Which is a bit bad, cos it means sending letters to people who don't have a clue who me and Trev ARE. Then it means breaking the bad news about the deposit (£425 EACH!!!) for the flat to M&S... hopefully they won't be as shocked as Trev... Sarah for one knows about these things - but still. As the person who's done all the work for this, I'm going to feel like the harbinger of doom if they are worried/upset/indignent about it. Then I have to find the money myself - I'm just a tad skint at the moment, grr. THEN I have to make sure I actually have a job for the summer - ick. And finally (and one of the things I'm most worried about), I don't think Emily, who I'm planning to live with next year, is entirely happy about the hosue my Dad has put an offer in on. Trouble is, it's perfect, and what she wants is something which is impossible - a nice place within our price range in central London. I understand that her bf will be living somewhere in the vicinity of Oxford Street, and I've tried my best to find somewhere to suit, but this is honestly the best house for sale I've found - it's just been renovated, it's two minutes from the tube, and it could be five bedrooms if we needed it to be. And my Dad plans to charge us only about 60 quid each a week in rent - bargain. So yeah. I need to call her and talk to her because I don't want to fall out with her, but I can't totally suit everyone. Meh. I hate being in charge.
But I'm going to France on Thursday!!! And I'm going to forget about stuff for a whole 10 days!!! Hooray! :)
