Fanfic as a means of procrastination...

Despite all of that, and 8 essays (ack! *whimpers*) I am sat here reading fanfic. And it's not even good fanfic. I just don't get why someone would write it! I mean, there's AU, and then there's might-as-well-be-original-fiction. I always get the impression that people do this sort of thing because they've got a good story idea and they can't be bothered to give any background to original characters, so they just plonk it in fandom. Bah. It's not a terrible read... just terribly confusing!

I miss GAFF, I really do :(
