Agh! I can't believe it's the 5th of September and I still haven't finished my second essay! I also don't understand how I can both panic like a headless chicken AND procrastinate simultaneously... what is wrong with me? Seriously! This is beyond ridiculous. So. Tonight, I am finishing essay number two. I don't care how long it takes. And tomorrow, I need to read the whole of Böll's 'Der Zug war pünktlich' and plan my final essay, and preferably write a good chunk of it as well. If anyone happens to have read the book already and wants to give me their thoughts, I would be most appreciative...

In summary: I am an idiot and should have written these essays two months ago.

Heh, oops, sorry! I always forget that when I add new people they have no idea what I've been writing about previously... I'm doing a German degree, and this year I've been studying in Berlin for the year, and I'm writing my essays for the semester that finished in July, which have to be handed in next week. And every time I have essays I leave it to the very last minute to write them... I really should have learned by now!

Oh, this happens to me all the time! I'm always starting way too late and even if there's almost no time left and I'm already panicking, I'm still not getting myself to work.

I've never heard of the book, though, sorry (it sounds like WWII literature...?).

Yep, that would be me, right now! The book is from the early 50s, it was Boell's first novel. There's quite a bit on the net about it though, it should be OK... I'm just so fed up with having to write things!
