The weather was being really very strange today. It was snowing but sunny - so sunny that it felt almost springlike, if it weren't for the big lumps of frozen stuff landing on my car. Weirdageness. Hmm...
Hey, my muse returned! I wrote a song last night - I always write best late at night, I think it's the tiredness... anyways, I even managed to get above the usual level of lyrics. Well, I think. It might be a bit cliche:
The day you left it snowed
And my tears tried to fall as they froze
As melted footprints filled
My last remnant of you disappeared
I'm not sure... I might change it. But I did quite like the atmosphere I created, and I could even hear a bit of production, which is unusual. I can see what the mood of this trio of songs is going to be - the two I've done so far are quite contemplative. The third will probably end up being similar.
My earring just fell out. Weird!
Anyways... I always seem to write songs in threes, without conciously trying to do so. The first sets the mood for the trio, the second tends to be the best, and the third is the most wayout/different, pushing the boundaries a bit. I can trace the trend through almost all of my song book. It's very strange.
College today was OK. I don't have the horrible nagging feeling of homework I haven't done hanging over my head, which is great, and I'm going to Cardiff on Wedsnesday, which is also great! I'm really looking forward to going to look around - it's my second choice for unis at the moment and it sounds really nice. It's a bit bizarre that both the unis that are my favourites are ones that ex-Robert May's-Alton people have gone on to. I didn't purposefully pick them like that!
I wish Durham would get back to me now. I don't really want to go there because I think their offer will be too close to King's, but I need them to reply so that I can finalise my choices. They said March though, so I guess I'll have to wait.
I need to go email some Icelandic people about buses, so I shall leave it here.
